About The Event: A blind book swap - bring one book, wrapped and unmarked, and leave with a stranger's pick instead. Once chits are drawn and books collected, the session settles into 45 minutes of quiet, phone-free reading with coffee, followed by a sharing circle where readers talk about what they got and the note tucked inside.

What to carry: One book, wrapped (newspaper, brown paper, or your choice) — no peeking at titles before the swap. Tuck in a small note for whoever unwraps it.

What to expect: 

• Check-in: your book gets numbered and enters the chit system
• 30 mins — The Swap: draw a chit, the number decides which wrapped book goes home with you
• 45 mins — Reading & Coffee: settle in with your new book, phone-free
• 45 mins — The Sharing Circle: open floor to discuss what you read (and the note, if you wish)
• Keep the book you draw and read it before deciding whether to trade — the surprise stays!
• The book and note are yours to keep after the session, along with a coffee by Subko
