BAKEHOUSE KITCHEN TEAM

[Commis / Entry Level]


SPECIFICALLY for preparation of all craft sandwich fillings, ingredients for toasts, jams, sauces, gravies, nut butters, and eventually, to slot into our savoury pick up chef team who will craft our unique take on baked goods, craft sandwiches, and experimental toasts.
  • This is not a position in the bakery.
  • One must be Flexible to do all shifts in either Bandra West, Byculla East, or South Bombay.
  • Fluency in Management of FIFO, stock, inventory preferred.
  • A rigorous approach to SOPs in the kitchen.
  • A structured approach to your workflow
  • Keen to learn and evolve in a constantly evolving and exciting kitchen environment.
  • Keen to maintain strong levels of cleanliness in the kitchen environment at all times.
  • Must be proactive and have strong communication skills, Hindi or English are both acceptable.

CUSTOMER SERVICE 

[Cafe Service On Floor]

CUSTOMER SERVICE

[Captain : Cashier]

  • Strong communication skills - Should be able to communicate well in English as a preferred background
  • Extremely diligent, detail oriented
  • Basic experience dealing with cash, card payments, and UPI payments rapidly in a busy environment preferred
  • Basic experience dealing with any kind of point of sale systems (POS) preferred
  • Highly attentive at all times while on shift
  • Strong emotional intelligence, patience, and soft skills
  • Tolerant of challenging and complex scenarios involving customers at any Subko cafe/ store
  • Should be flexible to come in for any Shift that has been assigned.

FINANCIAL PLANNER AND CONTROLLER

  • Leading daily accounting and financial planning tasks across the company
  • Tallying and organizing cash collections across brick and mortar Subko outlets
  • Leading financial planning exercises quarterly for the company 
  • Creating and Incorporating Budgets for Events, Partnerships, Business Travel
  • Creating revenue and cost models to help optimization of monthly operational expenditures and investments across verticals in the company
  • Managing all vendor payments and key vendor payment relationships in conjunction with External Accounting Firm
  • Managing Compliance along with External Accounting Firm
  • Managing GST and Tax compliances 
  • Implementing MIS internally
  • Liaising with Human Resources on tabulating Employee Appraisals, Deductions, etc.
  • Maintaining and managing Petty Cash disbursal and payments across the company

JUNIOR DESIGNER


  • Assist senior designers with print and digital projects.
  • Packaging projects for specialty coffee and craft bake products.
  • Ideation with core team for social media strategy
  • Social media collaterals and digital assets for specific partnerships projects
  • Design adaptations and design language expansion across print and digital platforms
  • Editorial projects for the physical outlets and partner locations
  • Wayfinding and signage design for partner locations and events

Skills Required

  • Proficient in Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop
  • Extremely strong sense of type hierarchy and typographic layout
  • Fundamental understanding of typography, composition, and colour for both print and digital media
  • Must be able to adapt to feedback and work quickly and efficiently around time sensitive deadlines
  • Basic knowledge of motion design / video editing skills is a bonus
  • Please note, other skills can and will be learnt on the job, but design fundamentals and basics need to be firmly in place.

CULTURE MANAGER + OPERATIONS LEAD, MARY LODGE BANDRA

  • Being the key customer facing individual who will define the culture, communication style, customer service norms of the space
  • An Excellent communicator who enjoys problem solving on behalf of customers on a daily basis
  • Acting as the general store manager of the space
  • Excelling in and incorporating stringent SOPs for how the space is managed, including the housekeeping team 
  • Managing 2 Operations Managers in the space daily, reporting to the Operations Director
  • Keen Interest in Specialty Coffee, Craft Baking, Digital Content, and Packaging Design, and the Indian Subcontinent
  • Preferred a minimum 1-4 years of experience in customer service, retail or hospitality is a bonus.

JOINT CULTURE MANAGER + OPERATIONS LEAD, THE CRAFTERY AND KITAB KHANA

  • Being the key customer facing individual who will define the culture, communication style, customer service norms of the space
  • An Excellent communicator who enjoys problem solving on behalf of customers on a daily basis
  • Acting as the general store manager of the space
  • Excelling in and incorporating stringent SOPs for how the space is managed, including the housekeeping team 
  • Managing 2 Operations Managers in the space daily, reporting to the Operations Director

OPERATIONS AND SPECIAL PROJECTS MANAGER  

  • Ideal Professional Experience of 1-4 years
  • Keen interest in/ or experience with the food and beverage industry, or retail, or premium craft/ artisanal brands.
  • Strong communicator, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to think critically and problem solve in a proactive manner, both in an organized manner while creating and upholding SOPs while also trying to help us innovate on better processes and fix legacy challenges.
  • Disciplined, willing to work fair, balanced but flexible hours as per project or organizational needs.
  • Assist in creating infrastructure and operational flows and handshakes across the company's various verticals for Subko's upcoming product or category releases.
  • Help manage and scale distribution channels via B2B/ wholesale partner management 
  • Manage and build relationships with a limited array of key vendors.
  • Assisting in organizing events based on organizational priorities, managing pop-up initiatives, and new inbound large order relationships (corporate gifting, office spaces, etc.)
  • Project Management skills preferred, utilization of tools and technologies to help streamline operational workflows.
  • Experience with POS, basic IT infrastructure, payments gateways, billing systems a plus.
  • Experience with e-commerce a big plus
  • Specific interest or experience in specialty coffee, craft baking, design and packaging innovation.
