About The Event: 

An evening of cards, stories and slow play.

Ganjifa is a tradition of hand-painted, circular playing cards that travelled from Persian courts into Mughal India and evolved across the subcontinent. In collaboration with Jildsaaz, join us for an intimate evening exploring Ganjifa through its art, history and the rituals of traditional play — over coffee and conversation at Subko.

What to carry: Just yourself - all materials are provided.

What to expect: 

Begin with the story behind Ganjifa and take a closer look at a 96-card Mughal deck, before moving from looking to playing. The evening will unfold through guided exploration and gameplay, offering a glimpse into the symbols, stories and intricate world hidden within these extraordinary cards.
